Majority of the workers are employed in the unorganized sector; therefore, unaware of labour rights violations. This is where our work begins. We in SLD educate workers about labour rights through training, research and advocacy on working and living conditions. SLD believes that it is essential to create ‘safer workplaces and safer cities’ for low wage women workers. SLD has been a front runner in;

  • Providing rights-based training and education to workers

  • Building and promoting leadership of workers

  • Enabling and supporting workers’ collective voices

  • Conducting strategic campaigns advocating labour welfare
